Book Club Questions For Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard & Starting Into the Water by Paula Hawkins

I have to apologize for being so far behind! For those of you who do not know we took two weeks off and went back home to Iowa to celebrate my graduation and birthday. We had an AMAZING time, but I have been getting caught up with everything for the past couple weeks. That being said, I am back and ready to get on with our next book, but first let's talk about Red Queen.

I thought Red Queen was an amazing book. I read it in a couple days and went on to finish the entire series in about a week. Red Queen was my favorite book of the series and really drew me into Mare's story. What did you think of Red Queen?

Here are a couple questions:

  1. What would you have done in Cal’s position (at the end)?
  2. What do you think will happen in book two?

The fifth book we are going to be reading is Into the Water Hardcover by Paula Hawkins. We will be starting Into the Water on June 26th and ending on July 10th.

Synopsis From Goodreads: "A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged.

Left behind is a lonely fifteen-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother’s sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from—a place to which she vowed she’d never return.

With the same propulsive writing and acute understanding of human instincts that captivated millions of readers around the world in her explosive debut thriller, The Girl on the Train, Paula Hawkins delivers an urgent, twisting, deeply satisfying read that hinges on the deceptiveness of emotion and memory, as well as the devastating ways that the past can reach a long arm into the present.

Beware a calm surface—you never know what lies beneath."

A reminder that this is a very relaxed book club. You can read a book than skip a book then come back and read another book with the club. Whatever you want to do. We are super excited to get started and hope you all will join us. :) To learn more visit the 2017 Books Without Borders Tackk!
